The pool will be closing on August 29th

The clubhouse is going to be repaired and we are currently getting quotes for that project. Our insurance provider has determined that repairing it, rather than replacing, is the cost effective route and so we will. A committee has been formed to oversee the project and any ideas that you’d like to put forward could be sent to us @ firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration. It will be all spruced up for next season!
As many of you know, Rhonda Bellefeuille has decided to leave our employ and enjoy more time in the sunny south. Julie Williams will be taking her place and will be known to many of you as a local resident in Lafleche, a seasonal camper and from her years working at the Town of Lafleche office. Please give Julie a warm welcome on September 1st!
Did you know that we have kayak rentals available? Both single and double kayaks are offered with a three hour limit/rental. $9.50/hr for single kayaks and $12.75/hr for double kayaks. Debit or credit accepted at the office, cash or cheque accepted at the pool.
Reminder that all golf carts need to be registered at the proshop. Call 306-472-5686 for more information.
Please not that building permits do not allow construction for the months of July and August. This is for the purpose of creating a more relaxed setting in the park.
The last few days have been perfect boating weather! Just a reminder that any boat using the public boat launch needs a pass. $7/day or $49 for the season, both available at the office.
Our temporary solutions for the 2019 season are coming together quickly!
We have a rented kitchen arriving next week from Mobile Kitchens Canada, which will be attached to the new dining room. Gillette can now finalize the application for the liquor license and get things ordered in from suppliers. The kitchen likely won’t be operational until June 1st, but we all know that when it is the food will be great.
You may have noticed a whole bunch of hardworking folks bringing to…gether a facility to house us, they are doing an amazing job and things seem to be speeding along. They are the Langman Contractors crew, stop by and say hi – just remember to bring them goodies if you do!
Fawn will have an office next week, it’s coming from Minards in Weyburn so she and her team will soon be wired up and ready to take your membership payments. We do need internet hook-ups and power first, so will advise of an actual start date soon.
As far as the old building is concerned, we still do not have answers from the insurance company as to the direction they are taking. Will it be fixed or removed, we’ll let you know when we do.
That’s all of the information we have for now, updates will be posted as they become available.
